OK, so they may not be singing for their lives, but a number of chefs are coming together to participate in tonight's kick off of BellyQ's Chef Karaoke Throwdown starting at 7 p.m.
Owner Bill Kim and his wife, Yvonne Cadiz-Kim, recruited a number of their chef pals to dress as their alter egos and the photographs, taken by Yasmina Cadiz, will be displayed in the restaurant's karaoke den.
Swing by tonight to watch Stephanie Izard, Mark Steuer, Brian Huston, John Manion, Jared Van Camp and Mindy Segal take to the mic and sing their hearts out for a chance at the championship belt.
The chefs will get judged on crowd support, singing talent, choreography and song choice by a panel of local food reporters, including Audarshia Townsend (312 Dining Diva), Chris LaMorte (Urban Daddy), LeeAnn Trotter (NBC) and Lisa Shames (CS). The event may get live tweeted, so follow the action @ChefKaraokeThrowdown.
