Al's Beef Takes Over Veggie Bite in Wicker Park

Well, isn't this interesting. Wicker Park's vegetarian and vegan fast food joint, Veggie Bite that closed in 2011, is now being replaced by Chicago's Italian beef mega-chain Al's Beef. Apparently the seitan version of the Italian Beef sandwich Veggie Bite formerly had on the menu wasn't cutting it. Will nearby hipsters flock to the establishment in their never-ending quest to be ironic? Only time will tell...
