GOLD COAST—Just off the intersection of Michigan Ave at Oak Street, one of the windiest places in the country, a new blow dry bar has opened and is starting to take appointments. Run by a mother/daughter duo and a staff of haircare enthusiasts, Blow By Blow is here to liquor you up, turn on the chick flicks and make that hair look good.

EVERYWHERE—Each October, Fashion Focus shows and events featuring Chicago-based designers happen all over the city. The three biggies are in Millennium Park and there are several happening elsewhere (like this one with half naked men) We've got all your Fashion Focus coverage.

GOLD COAST —The famous Frye Company, known for their boots, is opening on Rush next year. It'll go into a brand new construction on the lot where Jilly's Paino Bar was.
