Bobby-Todd-Hatoff-101012.jpgCondolences go out to the Allen Brothers family. Bobby Hatoff, the chairman of the family-owned Chicago-based meat purveyor, passed away over the weekend. Hatoff, who was a third generation owner of the company, was to be inducted into the Meat Industry Hall of Fame this month. His son, Todd Hatoff, currently serves as Allen Brothers president and CEO. UPDATE: Hatoff was actually found dead outside the company's HQ Sunday evening with a single fatal gunshot wound to the chest. Police are investigating it as an apparent suicide. [Crain's]
