Melmans Team with Joe's Bar Founders for Country Spot

In late December, Eater learned that RJ and Jerrod Melman were going to turn the former Frankie Z's into a country/western bar that would serve barbecue and aimed to open in the summer. Now more news comes that the brothers have teamed up with Joe's Bar founders Ed Warm and Tom DiSanto to create a music program for the still unnamed bar.

The partnership makes sense in that Warm and DiSanto have been credited for creating one of the country's best live country music venues (the Academy of Country Music named it the nightclub of the year) and have pulled in top country acts like Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Sugarland. "When it comes to country music, these guys definitely know what they’re doing,” RJ Melman said.
