Apparently you need to have a Hispanic name to make good Mexican food. At least that's what Lyle Lovett seems to think. The Texas singer has a rule that he won't eat Mexican food east of the Mississippi. When asked whether he had ever dined at renowned Mexican chef Rick Bayless' restaurants, he replied, "I’ve never eaten Mexican food in Chicago. And, no disrespect, but it can’t be that good if a guy named Bayless is cooking it." Zing! [Garden & Gun]
