If you're driving down Irving Park toward the highway later today, you may want to pop into Bread & Wine, as it's officially opening its doors at 3 p.m. When you stop by, don't be confused on what you're getting into. The well-designed, modern yet rustic interior is an artisan market, a wine bar and an American bistro all wrapped up in one. So grab something to go, sip a glass of wine or dig in for a longer meal.

Bread & Wine is the brainchild of Jennifer Wisniewski and Lisa Fosler Kelly, who tapped chef Curtis Gamble to head up the kitchen. The market/restaurant fills a void in the area for people looking for quality products, top-notch wine at good value and local, farm-to-table cooking. And who knows, with their offerings, this may even become a destination spot or a perfect hit on your way to O'Hare to pick up a quality meal for your flight.

Bread & Wine is open daily at 3 p.m. and stays open until 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 10:30 on Friday and Saturday and has a small plates menu daily between 3 and 5:30. Check out the menu below.
