A new restaurant is in the works to debut inside the historic Tribune Tower. Slated to open in 2013, the restaurant will be housed in the back of the tower facing Pioneer Court. Bottleneck Management Group, which currently operates the Boundary in Wicker Park; Trace in Wrigleyville; South Branch in the Loop; and Sweetwater on Michigan Avenue, is behind the project.
Although few details have been revealed at this time, Chris Bisaillon of Bottleneck did say via press release that he plans to "work diligently in the months ahead to develop a dynamic plan for this space—one that works in harmony with Pioneer Court, our neighbors, our growing tourism industry and, of course, our future customers.”
The restaurant will join Argo Tea in the building, which opened in the fall, and likely a slew of other retail and office tenants that the Tribune Company is actively working to recruit. The restaurant itself will employ 150 people.
