Koval Distillery Kicking Off Food Truck Wednesdays

Want a little nosh with your whiskey tasting? Koval Distillery is kicking of Food Truck Wednesdays tonight to enhance their regular tours of the facility. The tours, which cost $10 and last about an hour and a half, start at 7 p.m. Attendees learn about distilling whiskey, the difference between white and aged whiskies and more.

But with Food Truck Wednesdays, they're adding in food so you don't get sloshed during the tastings. Throughout January, food trucks will set up outside Koval's Andersonville location (5121 N. Ravenswood) starting an hour before the tour and will remain until the tours wrap up (FYI, you likely don't have to be on the tour to get food from the trucks). Tonight will feature Getta Polpetta, which will sell meatball and meatless-meatball panino as well as meatball soup (OK, we get it, they like meatballs)

Upcoming tours, on Jan. 18 and 25 will feature the DucknRoll and Taquero Fusion trucks, respectively. Koval also does weekend tours and to take care of those folks, they're brining out ChicaGourmets and the Big Star truck for a DIY taco bar on Jan. 28. Tours that day take place at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. You do need to sign up for all tours and space fills up quickly so get moving.
