Best new chef? How about best new pastry chef? In the February issue of Food & Wine, the magazine announced it would add a Best New Pastry Chef award to be announced in May. The winner will ultimately be selected from 5 to ten of the country's best rising pastry chefs identified by the magazine's staff. And starting Feb. 8, they'll launch the People's Best New Pastry Chef competition online to hear from the public.
