Tony Mantuano chef de cuisine Meg Colleran Sahs will host the second annual event Farm to Fork Fest on October 13 at Terzo Piano featuring many top local farmers. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. on the Bluhm Terrace with a cocktail hour and booths showcasing each farmer.
Guests will get to taste dishes, ask questions and buy products directly from each farmer at the event. The farmers scheduled to attend are Seedling Fruit, Nichols Farm, Prairie Fruits, Pinn Oak and Dietzler.
The fun continues as Mantuano will face his former competitor from Bravo’s Top Chef Masters, Chef Carmen Gonzalez. Their Quickfire Challenge will pair them with either Pinn Oak or Dietzler farms to create an appetizer. Terzo Piano’s wine expert Cathy Mantuano will emcee the challenge and select guests to judge the competition.
The evening will then move to a seated four-course dinner around 7:30 p.m. that will pair each course with wine, and Mantuano will introduce each course and its featured farmer. Courses will offer a mix of family-style and individually plated dishes. A cash bar will be available throughout the night for local beers or specialty cocktails.
Tickets for the evening are $75 per person and reservations can be made by calling 312-443-8650.
