Chicago Public Media (WBEZ) is getting ready to kickoff their fourth annual Off-Air monthly event series that highlights events in Chicago related to the arts, politics, history, film and music. The series begins this Sunday from 4-7 p.m. with the annual Chicago Chef battle taking place at the Goose Island Brewery Loading Dock. The battle will challenge five Chicago chefs to create a dish using one of Goose Island's beers as an ingredient. Chef David Carrier (formerly of Kith & Kin) took home last year's prize.
This year's competitors include: Jill Baron (Mana Food Bar), Chris Curren (Blue 13 and Elate), Carlos Ysaguirre (Anteprima, Acre), Leonard Hollander (Marion Street Cheese Market) and Heather Terhune (Sable Kitchen). The audience will be serve as the judges, having a chance to sample the dishes and choose a winner.
Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for WBEZ members and $10 for students. They can be purchased here.
