In the October issue of ELLE, which hits newsstands today, the fashion mag gives a little national love to local girl Stephanie Izard and her team at the Girl & The Goat. The article leads off by recounting Izard's reputation as a party girl and talks about her accolades like winning Top Chef and being named as a Food & Wine best new chef.
But the spread really seems more like a preview for Izard's forthcoming cookbook, Girl in the Kitchen. The article includes a number of recipes, like sweet and sour eggplant with tomatillos, braised lamb shanks and pork-fat doughnuts, which you may want to start making, well, now. If you peep the article online, the recipes are published on individual pages on the site for easy printing. So maybe you don't need the cookbook? We kid.
