Just when you thought all the sports bars were opening up on Division, a new combo Mexican restaurant and sports bar is coming to River North. Patron's Hacienda (no relation to the tequila brand) is scheduled to open Friday, Sept 23 and deliver a menu featuring authentic Mexican recipes as well as steaks and chops.
The 200-seat restaurant, with an additional 100 spots in a private dining area, will first open for dinner and eventually include lunch. The lively atmosphere will have 18 55-inch flat-screen TVs in the bar area that guests will have control over what games and shows will be featured. The menu, ranging in price from $6.95 to $24.95, will offer a variety of house specialties like the choriqueso fundido with housemade chorizo; elotitos (a split Mexican-street-food-style corn on the cob); half chicken with mole; shrimp with Veracruzana sauce; and various steaks and chops marinated in a special family recipe.
The bar will feature 15 signature cocktails, prepared with fresh ingredients, 36 different beers and 56 different types of high-end tequila. With the tequila, guests can opt to create their own tequila flight, featuring four half-ounce pours of tequila of their choosing.
Patron's Hacienda will be open seven days a week starting at 5 p.m. for dinner and will stay open late on weekends.
