3-course "tasting menu"?

Bloomberg critic Ryan Sutton is at it again, this time going off on how Groupon, Gilt City and other deal sites claim that a three-course dinner is a "tasting menu." Writes Sutton: "The day your mother served Gino’s Pizza rolls, then a salisbury steak, then a frozen Ralph’s Ice, that was the day you had your first tasting menu. Hope you enjoyed it." The situation is so bad that he had to create Bad Deal Rule #9: "Three courses isn’t a tasting menu. It’s dinner, dammit." [The Bad Deal via Eater National]
