Following its big splash on the scene in early July, Pinkberry is gearing up to open its second Chicago location on Sept. 9.

The LA-based fro yo chain took a while to land in Chicago, but now it seems it's moving in hard. While the store will officially open for business on Sept. 9, they'll have a grand opening celebration on Sept. 8. Between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Sept. 8 when Pinkberry fans can hit the new Wells Street location for a free small frozen yogurt.

If you do plan on going, be aware there will be long waits. When the State Street store opened and offered free fro yo, the line apparently stretched down State and eventually around the block onto Wabash. People can't get enough of free fro yo.

Pinkberry will officially open at 11 a.m. on Sept. 9. The store's regular hours will be Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
