It looks like the war over hot dogs ensues.. Jim's Original Polish, a longtime staple of the Maxwell Street Market, is suing Jim's Original Chicago, another hot dog stand a few blocks from its Far South Side location. Jim's Original Polish, which also has registered the name "The Original Maxwell Street Polish Stand," claims Jim's Original Chicago infringes on its name and menu items. The defendant said the lawsuit holds no merit and that he's willing to talk. Jim's Original Polish also recently filed suit against Jim’s Original of Joliet, Inc. Too bad Jim is such a common name.
