The California-based upscale burger bar, 25 Degrees is finding its first Midwest home in Chicago, opening in River North on Monday. This self-proclaimed "bordello meets burger bar" has a sophisticated yet playful flair with decor like black crystal chandeliers, French toile wallpaper and ox-blood red leather booths.

Owners Joe and Mac Boumaroun (Aladdin's), will continue to work closely with chef/founder Tim Goodell and his wife/founder Liza Goodell who are behind the original 25 degrees concept.

The menu highlights burgers, of course, giving both signature and craft-your-own options. The latter option allows you to start with veggie, turkey or a sirloin burger and add some pretty refined toppings: 16 choices of cheese including burrata and Pleasant Ridge Reserve; sauces like lemon dill, chipotle and tarragon remoulade; and extras like jalapeño bacon, sauerkraut and roasted tomatoes.

There are also a number of seasonal soups, salads and sandwiches along with snacks and sides such as bacon-wrapped dates and tempura green and yellow beans. The Potato and 3 Cheese Fritters, another snack, is a Chicago exclusive menu item, and of course you also have your french fries, onion rings and sweet potato fries. Check out the full menu below.

To compliment the food is a full bar with a wine list that has over 50 selections, a handful of signature cocktails and spiked shakes and sodas. 25 Degrees is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday and Friday, and 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturdays.
