Even before being awarded one Michelin star, Bonsoiree had trouble keeping up with customers' demand to get a table. The restaurant, which is open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner, only had 28 seats in the dining room, which often filled up quickly. And while Bonsoiree has a backyard, the patio was only available during warmer months and if the weather cooperated. That is, until now.
Chef/owner Shin Thompson has been talking about enclosing the patio for some time and he finally pulled the trigger. The new glass-enclosed space adds about 20 more seats and has a retractable roof, so you don't miss out on al fresco dining on beautiful nights. The room is completed, but the restaurant is awaiting the final approval from the health department to open it, which they hope will be within the next two weeks.
Whether you dine inside or out, the BYOB restaurant also has added a new non-alcoholic beverage pairings program, which is currently available. For $25, guests can enjoy specifically crafted drinks to pair with Thompson's eight- or 13-course tasting menus.
