After more than six months without a figurehead, the Michelin Guide has finally announced a replacement for Jean-Luc Naret. Michael L. Ellis, the former VP of marketing and sales for Michelin's two-wheel tire division (a.k.a. motorcycles!) will now be the guides new international director. It'll be a definite switch from the "flamboyant" Naret, with the Financial Times writing, "to put a 'tyre man' in charge of the famous old guide books would be a pretty remarkable change."
