Big Star Hosts 'Everything But The Kitchen Sink' Sidewalk Sale

Have you ever wanted to own beer mugs from the Publican? Plates from Avec? Wine Glasses from Blackbird? Well, now is your chance. This Sunday from 12-4 p.m. Big Star, Violet Hour, Publican, Blackbird and Avec are packing up their unused plates, glassware, silverware, chairs, just about everything but the kitchen sink (as the event is aptly named) and heading to Big Star for a sidewalk sale.

The funds generated from the sale will benefit the Garfield Park Conservatory which was badly damaged during the hail storm earlier this summer and doesn't have the funds for restoration. These restaurants hope to raise enough money to get the conservatory back on its feet. So grab a few friends, stick around for some tacos and beer and who knows you may go home with a whole new set of dishes, all for a great cause.
