A much bigger Lula Cafe is just around the corner ... or in this case, right next door. Lula closed after brunch service on Sunday to complete the expansion Eater reported on a few months back. The wall between the two spaces has come down and the restaurant should be back open for service this Friday. Can't wait to see it. [Grub Street]
UPDATE: Just got word that the current closure is to put up a temporary wall. Lula is still waiting on getting licensed to do the expansion, which is four to six weeks out, according to owner Jason Hammel.
