FÜL Opening Saturday to Offer Healthy Food Options

New, 4 comments

FÜL, a new fast-casual spot on Broadway in Boystown is set to open to the public on Saturday. Yes, FÜL (pronounced "fuel") has sandwiches, salads and smoothies like other places, but what sets this spot apart is that it is attempting to combine healthy food with a healthful lifestyle.

Opened by Zach Horwitz, FÜL has a menu featuring local ingredients and an environment focused on sustainability, from the compostable containers to the environmentally friendly cleaning products. You can pop in for a prosciutto and fig panini; a lean roast beef sandwich; a "fitness" salad with spinach, greens, apple, feta and red onion; or a smoothie with a boost.

But the space also wants to help people who are trying to live a healthier lifestyle, by offering appointments with an on-site nutritionist and selling supplements. FÜL, designed with bright colors and an open floor plan, lets people dine in or take away and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Now if they can only get people to stop eating so much fast food they'll really be on to something.
