If 20,000 hungry people can crash a sophisticated website, think about what they can do to an unsuspecting restaurant site in Finland. Yesterday, Next restaurant noticed that Ravintola Kantipur, a Nepalese restaurant in Helsinki, misappropriated images from Alinea—including a shot of Grant Achatz—and used them on their site to promote its food. Next suggested its fans email the restaurant to send a message. The Finnish site crashed and today it simply shows a picture of baked chicken. Clearly they hadn't heard about this.
