It looks like The Bedford didn't have to wait until tonight to celebrate the end of this weekend's Pitchfork Music Festival. In addition to having numerous bands stop by throughout the weekend, Melbourne-based dance rock outfit Cut Copy took to the decks at the hot Wicker Park restaurant for a surprise DJ set Sunday night.
Dan Whitford and Tim Hoey, who grubbed out on mussels, deviled eggs and Bedford burgers, kicked things off around 10:30 and played a set mostly made up of house music and mashed up tunes. They wound down the energized party around 12:30 a.m. with a version of Stealers Wheel's "Stuck in the Middle With You." Apparently the bar has one of their favorite Australian beers, Coopers, and the guys were pretty stoked about having a taste of home.
During the weekend, The Bedford hosted the Nau pop-up shop with Connect Chicago, welcoming bands like Sun Airway, Kylesa and DJ Chrissy Murderbot in to dine and snag clothes for their Pitchfork sets.
