There's gonna be some fancy stuff going on down on Lake Michigan this weekend and since the weather is going to be crazy hot, this may be a cool thing to check out. The 103rd annual Race to Mackinac Island, with 355 participating boats sailing by Navy Pier, is taking place on Saturday. Before that kicks off, Veuve Clicquot, which is the race's lead sponsor, is hosting a dinner at Cibo Matto on July 15 in honor of the big event.
For $103 per person, chef Evan Percoco is preparing a four-course feast that will be paired with multiple stellar vintages of the iconic Champagne. You can make reservations by calling 312-239-9500, or you can take your chances at winning a dinner for two courtesy of Veuve. As a bonus, they'll also toss in their signature boater bag that comes with a Veuve Clicquot beach towel, unbreakable air bottle to protect your wine when you move about, two acrylic flutes and a pair of Wayferer sunglasses.
To enter the contest, follow VeuveClicquot and Eater Chicago on Twitter then tag both in an original message (can not be a retweet) and tweet out "I want to hit Cibo Matto with Veuve #RacetoMAC" to be entered to win. You must be at least 21 to enter and win. The contest begins now and runs through 5 p.m. today. The randomly selected winner will be notified via Twitter Friday morning. Good luck!
