Bistro Voltaire is officially opening its doors on July 22 with a special tasting menu that evening to allow guests to experience chef Colin Beaumier's selection of French cuisine influenced by local ingredients. The grand opening menu will be a 3x3x3-course tasting, which offers three appetizers, three entrées and three desserts. Some of the menu items include: flan of foie gras with cassis and casada; asparagus salad with black truffle vinaigrette; duck breast filet with passion fruit, orange, green beans, roasted almond; ribeye crusted with mushroom, seasonal vegetables and saffron ice cream.
In addition, each of the tasting courses will be paired with a three pour "All French" wine flight pairing, a Bichot Cremant de Bourgogne sparkling rosé and an amuse of the Harry's Bloody cocktail, based on the original Bloody Mary invented at Harry's American Bar in Paris during the 1920's. The meal costs $55 with wine pairings, $35 without. There will only be two seatings, at 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm, so reservations are limited and must be made in advance.
