The strong storms that pushed through the Chicago area on Monday knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses, but that isn't stopping John des Rosiers from making lemonade. While Des Rosiers lost power at both his Lake Bluff restaurant inovasi and prepared-foods shop wisma (which may both be closed until Thursday), he donated about 450 pounds of food to two local food pantries, feeding about 600 people.
