Bar DeVille's Brad Bolt Wins Local GQ Mixology Contest; Heading to Vegas

Bar DeVille co-owner Brad Bolt beat out nearly 25 other local competitors at the GQ and Bombay Sapphire "Most Inspired Bartender" event that took place Monday night at Benchmark in Old Town.

Bolt competed against some of the city's top mixologists, including Lynn House (Blackbird), Dante LoPresti (Roka Akor), Revae Schneider (Union Sushi and BBQ), Craig Hiljus (The Exchange), Michael Taxy (The Drawing Room) and Justin Andersen (The Bedford).

Now Bolt, who crafted his cocktail "The Hard Sell" (Bombay Sapphire, St. Germain, Jeppson's Malort, lemon juice and grapefruit essence), will fly to Vegas to compete in the national competition Sept 11 to 13. The winner of that contest will get a full-page in GQ with a photo and recipe of the winning cocktail and advance to the international competition.
