NYC Bagel Deli is a few weeks away from opening a new spot in River North, its third location in the city. Although this location will be fairly similar to the two existing locations in Lincoln Park and the Loop, Chief Bagel Officer Corey Kaplan has decided to mix things up a bit.
The new spot will still feature New York-style kettle-boiled bagels, Intelligentsia coffee and Boar's Head meats and cheeses, but come late-night on Friday and Saturday, NYC Bagel Deli will also sell pizza. Kaplan has decided to serve pizza slices from 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. on the weekends to feed people leaving the surrounding bars.
If early morning bagels are more your style, NYC Bagel Deli will open at 5:30 am seven days a week, earlier than their other locations. This location will also move bagel making from the back of the house to the window off of Dearborn so you'll be able to see the bagel creation first hand. There will also be a unique off-menu sandwich that those "in the know" can order. Plans are in the works for a fourth spot but timing and location are still yet to be determined.
