EDGEWATER—Burke's Public House (5401 N. Broadway) looks like it may be getting closer to opening. Pint glasses lined the bar and menus, featuring seemingly typical bar fare like burgers, wraps and salads, were posted to the front door. This pub, with hardwood floors and plenty of flat-screen TVs, was originally scheduled to open in May so hopefully it's coming soon.
LAKEVIEW—Adesso closed, leaving an Italian void on Broadway in Boystown. But, coming in its place, is Mr. Taco. It didn't look like too much work had been done on the interior yet.
ANDERSONVILLE—Urban Orchard is taking over the former Urbanest furniture shop on Clark and promises to "Eat Fresh. Live Healthy." Currently, the raw space has a far way to go, but when it opens, sometime this summer, it'll deliver local produce and food and feature a cafe.
ANDERSONVILLE—Yogurt Avenue will soon arrive in the former Necessary Extravagance space, also on Clark Street, a little bit up from In Fine Spirits. With Pasticceria Natalina now closed, this gives people a new dessert option on the strip.
