If your beer tastes a little funky, there's a reason for that. Goose Island recalled three batches of Sofie, its Belgian-style ale, when the company noticed some of the beer tasted off. Batches packaged on Feb. 11 (650 ml bottles), March 8 (four packs) and April 20 (four packs) of this year have been recalled. The discrepancy came from some of the barrels the beer is aged in. While the beer is safe to drink, it doesn't meet the quality standards the brewery would like to keep. So the question you have to ask yourself: To drink or not to drink? [Trib/Goose Island]
