Making its foray into the Midwest, Pinkberry, one of the country's largest frozen yogurt operations, will open shop in Chicago this summer. The chain, which has more than 100 outlets in the country, mostly on the coasts, will debut in early July just in time for the summer swelter to settle in.
Most interesting is that Pinkberry will take over the former 1,200 square foot Berry Chill flagship location; it, however, will get a complete overhaul making everything unique to Pinkberry. And, the spot is just up the street from Grahamwich, giving a little competition to Graham Elliot's soft serve ice cream and creating a new little tourist hub. Apparently the signage is going up this afternoon, so expect some drool to start appearing on the window this weekend.
