Jason's Lovefood Pop-Up Brunch Coming to Vincent Sunday

Amsterdam in the summertime is beautiful, but the chances of you hopping on a plane right now to head across the pond are likely not high. Fortunately for you, a little bit of Amsterdam is coming to Chicago. On July 3, Vincent will host the popular Dutch pop-up Jason Hartley's Lovefood.

Lovefood has been rolling since early 2009 when Hartley, a Brit whose background is in branding and integrated marketing, started his culinary journey without any previous cooking experience. His pop-ups have become hugely popular in Amsterdam, so much so that Lovefood caught the attention of Vincent sous chef Chrissy Camba.

Camba was traveling in Amsterdam and contacted Hartley about attending a brunch, but they were sold out. Instead, Hartley showed Camba and her boyfriend around the city and the idea of exporting Lovefood to Chicago sprouted.

Lovefood doesn't get all fancy on your brunch, rather focuses on brunch classics from America, France, the U.K. and beyond. Hartley and his team handcraft organic pork sausage, English muffins, biscuits and Irish soda bread. They hand cure and smoke organic bacon and make their own sauces, granola and more.

The brunch sells out every weekend in Amsterdam and will likely do the same here. Brunch items will range from $9 to $14 and to reserve your spot, call 773-334-7168.
