On June 26, join Sola's Carol Wallack at her North Center restaurant for the open-to-everyone Store Up for Skorup, a fundraiser to help her former employee Jason Skorup, who has racked up some hefty medical bills after having to have part of one of the lobes of his lungs removed following an infection. While he has a lot of bills, Wallack said Skorup is doing much better, but has to take it easy.
The event, taking place at 5:30 p.m. Sunday directly following the North Center Garden Walk, will not charge a cover, but all proceeds will benefit Skorup. Grills will be set up outside on the restaurant's patio and guests can enjoy signature drinks and menu items. Additionally, a silent auction will feature some great items like an in-home dinner for eight where Wallack and Dale Levitski will cook and pair wines; introductory glider flight; four-course tasting menu for two at Epic; gift certificates to Ina's, Purple Pig, Naha, Girl & The Goat, Province, Urban Belly, Lula Cafe and many more. For a complete list of auction items, visit Sola's website.
