Reader Reveals Best of Chicago Food & Drink List; Eater Takes Top Food Blog

In what seems like an "everybody gets an award" list, the Reader has released its Best of Chicago Food & Drink list. The list is divided up by "Readers' Poll Winners" and "Reader Critics' Picks and there's a whole bunch of categories, more than 100 of them, actually, ranging from best fancy restaurant to best tater tots and everything in between.

Rick Bayless was named best chef by the readers while Next got the best restaurant nod by the critics. Tamalli Space Charros won the readers' best food truck and the Southern Mac & Cheese truck won best new food truck by the critics. But one award that we're particularly proud of—and were totally surprised when we saw it—was that Eater Chicago was selected as the top food blog by the Reader's readers. For not even being around a year yet, we're quite humbled, so thank you for that.
