Three Aces Opens Huge Outdoor Patio, Will Show Movies

What the Big Star patio is to Wicker Park, Three Aces' The Yard hopes to be for Taylor Street. The rock 'n' roll-vibed eclectic restaurant recently opened a massive outdoor patio in its parking lot to accommodate outdoor dining, drinking and playing—assuming summer ever decides to stick around.

The 2,500 square-foot space has picnic-table-style seating for about 140 people and will be serving a special menu for both lunch and dinner created by chef Matt Troost. They've strung up lights and plan to hold different theme nights, including Hillbilly Bingo on Sundays where they'll play outlaw country music. And if you can't make it to one of the Chicago Park District's official Movies in the Park nights, Three Aces is hosting movie nights on the patio on Mondays.
