Mariani Digs Chicago Desserts

Mariani-Desserts.jpgEsquire writer John Mariani praises a "baker's dozen" of restaurants across the country where he really enjoyed dessert. The list bends southward, including Hugh Acheson's in Atlanta and Stella! in New Orleans, but also highlights Longman & Eagle's gruyère donuts drizzled with maple syrup and the chocolate-mousse layer cake with toasted marshmallows at David Burke's Primehouse, which Mariani calls Prime. Maybe he wrote this while on a sugar high. [Esquire via Eater National]
