Chick-Fil-A Opening June 16; Line Up For Free Chicken

Chick-fil-A is gearing up to open its first downtown Chicago location this week and it wants to reward people who will brave the nighttime elements to say they're the first to get into the chicken shop before anyone else.

The Southern chain wants to give the first 100 adults in line when the doors open at 6 a.m. on June 16 free Chick-fil-A for a year. People can start forming the line the night before at 6 p.m. and the restaurant will provide security, games, access to the bathroom and food, presumably not McDonald's or even KFC (clearly they're going to give out their own grub).

While Chick-fil-A will not allow people to set up tents because of the urban setting, people may want to take care due to a) the recent rise in muggings in that area. It also won't come as a shock if gay rights activists protest the opening based on recent news that Chick-fil-A was somehow possibly affiliated with groups promoting anti-same-sex marriage events on the East Coast. And who says merely opening a shop is the exciting part?
