Key Ingredient Creators Get James Beard Journalism Awards

Friday night the James Beard Foundation announced the winners of the 2011 Book, Broadcast & Journalism Awards. René Redzepi's Noma and Amanda Hesser's The Essential New York Times Cook Book were among the cookbook winners, and the anonymous Ruth Bourdain won the first-ever Humor award.

Bringing it back to Chicago, Michael Gebert (of Sky Full of Bacon and who helped create our five-part mini-series inside Next and Aviary) and Julia Thiel won in the Multimedia Food Feature category for their Key Ingredient series in the Reader. Big congrats to them! Pop over to Eater National for the full list of winners.
