There's a whole mess o' changes happening down in Hyde Park. The other day we learned that Clarke's would open a 24-hour diner and now residents will get a Whole Foods. The upscale supermarket will be part of the Village Center 150-unit condo tower being constructed by Antheus Capital. Whole Foods will occupy 30,000 square feet and have 188 free underground parking spots. The Original Pancake House that currently resides on the site will also be incorporated. The bad news? The store won't open until 2014. So much for filling in the food desert. [Sun-Times via Curbed Chicago]
