Roots Pizza Opening; M Burger's Summer Hours; Avec's New Sous; North Shore Distillery's New Spirit

WEST TOWN—Roots Handmade Pizza, the new joint featuring Quad Cities-style pizza by the guys behind The Fifty/50, will officially open on Tuesday, May 31. [EaterWire]

STREETERVILLE—M Burger has new summer hours. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the intimate burger spot will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. everyday. [EaterWire]
