Inspiration certainly can come from some very odd places. Chicago-area native Melissa McCarthy appeared on Conan and revealed her brash and ballsy character in Bridesmaids was based on Food Network star Guy Fieri. She even wanted to have short, spiky bleached blond hair, but was told, "You can't actually be Guy Fieri." Eater National has the video clip. [~E~]
