Grill masters and aspiring backyard cooking enthusiasts will want to head out to Lincoln Park this weekend for a two-day barbeque fest. Better Homes and Gardens and Weber host the Chill & Grill Festival, taking place May 21-22 in Lincoln Park between Stockton and Clark streets north of LaSalle.
The event, which will feature many local chefs, will have cooking demonstrations, barbecuing tips, recipe tastings and more. Mingle with the likes of Stephanie Izard, Hearty Boy Dan Smith, Gale Gand, Ina Pinkney (Ina's), Susan Goss (West Town Tavern), Steve Dolinsky (ABC7's Hungry Hound) and more. Take hands-on classes from barbeque experts, including Kevin Kolman from Weber.
The fest happens May 21 (12 p.m. to 6 p.m.) and May 22 (12 p.m. to 5 p.m.). Entry to the fest is free, but you need tickets for food, beverages and the hands-on classes.
