Want to get inside Girl & The Goat? While landing a reservation these days seems next to impossible, you can at least get a sneak peek into the mind of the girl behind the goat.
This October, Stephanie Izard, will release Girl in the Kitchen: How a Top Chef Cooks, Thinks, Shops, Eats & Drinks. Sure it seems like a ways away, but the book is available for pre-order now for $19.77 (about $10 off list price) at Amazon.
Girl in the Kitchen, which was co-written by former Time Out Chicago dining editor Heather Shouse (who recently released her own book, Food Trucks), will feature more than 100 of Izard's recipes. So while you may not learn specific recipes from the restaurant (that book comes out in 2012), you will get to see how to make easy dishes like Izard to enjoy at home. Or perhaps you can just wait for that reservation to come through.
