Phillip Foss to Launch El Restaurant at Meatyballs Kitchen

If you don't feel like tracking Phillip Foss' Meatyballs Mobile, you can soon start checking in with him at a permanent location. The Tribune reports that Foss will open El, a sometimes pop-up restaurant housed inside his prep kitchens, located at 14th and Western just off Pilsen. The restaurant will seat only 15 to 20 people and will be BYOB.

Foss tells us that he plans to "remain elusive even as a bricks and mortar restaurant," and will change the menu depending on whatever he feels like cooking. "Sometimes it'll be more casual, other times more upscale." Foss also said he's going to open the space up for lunch where office groups can come out for retreats or whatever.
