List: Where to Go for Chicago Craft Beer Week

Chicago Craft Beer Week begins May 19 and keeping track of the sheer number of events is bound to make anyone tipsy. We have highlighted some of the events that are taking place at local restaurants and bars until May 27. The week kicks off with Beer Under Glass at the Garfield Park Observatory, where you can sample beer from over 25 breweries and snack on small plates. Most events require a $10 passport, which you can get at the kickoff or from the other participating locations. This Google map might also come in handy to keep track of where to go. After all, things start to get a little hazy after a few brews.

1) Haymarket Pub and Brewery
What: Multiple events, including: The Beerfly Alley Fight! Samples of food and beer from 10 home brewers and home chefs, paired with works from local artists. Vote for your favorite tri-pairing.
When: May 21, 12-6 pm
Cost: $35

2) Bangers & Lace
What: Multiple events, including Great Divide tapping. Bryan Baltzell from Great Divide, rated the seventh best brewery in the world, will be on site. On draft: Hoss Rye Lager, Hades, Hercules Double IPA, Claymore Scotch Ale, Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti and Colette Saison.
When: May 23, 7 pm
Cost: Event is free, beers range from $6-$9

3) Revolution Brewing
What: Multiple events , daily brewery tours and a prix-fixe menu. A Revolutionary Party concludes the week, celebrating the best of local Chicago breweries.
When: May 27, 4-7 pm, 8-11 pm
Cost: $40, reservations required

4) The Map Room
What: multiple events, including: Beer and Sausage with Great Lakes and Founders. Buy a beer and get the sausage pairing including Chicken sausage with orange peel, coriander paired with Holy Moses Wit; Pork and lamb sausage with mint, coconut milk, garam masala, paired with Double Trouble; Duck sausage and cranberry paired with Great Lakes Instigator Doppelbock.
When: May 24, 6-9 pm
Cost: Free with passport

5) City Provisions and The Long Room
What: Cleetus Friedman of City Provisions and Vanilla Vixen's Heather Reardon create a six-course meal (four savory; two sweet) paired with beers from Metropolitan, Lagunitas, Two Brothers, Victory, Stone, and Left Hand.
When: May 21 4-6pm
Cost: $30

6) Twisted Spoke
What: Twisted Goose: Goose Island brewers present select rare barrel-aged beers including Bourbon County Stout, Bourbon County Vanilla Stout, Bourbon County Coffee Stout, Bourbon County Small Beer "Lazarus," Big John, Night Stalker.
When: May 23, 7 pm-2am
Cost: Free with passport

7) The Publican
What: 5 Rabbit and Metropolitan Meet and Greet. Sample beers from 5 Rabbit and Metropolitan and meet the brewers while snacking on complimentary appetizers.
When: May 25, 4-6 pm
Cost: Free with passport

8) C-House
What: Prix-fixe menu: First course: spicy grilled baby octopus paired with Sofie Belgian-style ale from Goose Island; Second course: roasted pork loin paired with Matilda Belgian-style ale from Goose Island; Third course: fried buttermilk cake paired with raspberry ale from Dark Horse.
When: May 19-27
Cost: $39

9) Burger Bar
What: Rogue Beer Dinner: five-course meal that goes beyond burgers with beer pairings from Rogue Brewery.
When: May 26, 7-10 pm

10) Owen & Engine
What: Three-course locally-sourced meal paired with Sam Adams most complex brews.
When: May 22, 6-10 pm
Cost: $40

11) one sixtyblue
What: Four-course dinner featuring some of Goose Island's vaunted beers including Lolita, raspberry Belgian-style ale; Juliet, blackberry Belgian-style ale; Big John, imperial stout and Bourbon County Vanilla Stout.
When: May 25, 7-9 pm
Cost: $75, reservations required

12) Fizz Bar & Grill
What: multiple events including: Craft Day Afternoon with The Map Room: unlimited sampling of over 40 of the world's best brews with appetizers and a souvenir glass. The day benefits two local schools.
When: May 21, 1-5 pm
