Many people might argue for their favorite barbeque joint in Chicago, but one just got called out. Food & Wine just released a list of the best new BBQ spots in the U.S. and Lillie's Q made the cut. The Bucktown restaurant may make more news this weekend when chef/owner Charlie McKenna competes in the Memphis In May World Championship Barbeque Cooking Contest. McKenna has placed in the top 10 (out of nearly 100 contestants) every year for the last five in the pork shoulder category. Will the spotlight get even brighter this time? [F&W]
