The S. Pellegrino "World's 50 Best Restaurants" list has just been released. While we had heard it might have placed higher, Grant Achatz's Alinea moved up one spot from last year's list, being named the No. 6 best restaurant in the world (will Achatz's new hot spot, Next, find a place on the list in 2012?). Once again, Copenhagen's Noma came in at No. 1, Thomas Keller's Per Se is No. 10, but his The French Laundry dropped from the top 50, as did former No. 2 spot elBulli, which will close in July. Eater National has the full rundown. [~E~]
