And now the latest from Curbed Chicago, covering everything you need to know about the city's neighborhoods and real estate.
AVONDALE—Another prominent symbol of the real estate bust is coming back to life. A developer has acquired North River Court, the half-finished, 46-unit development that has been open to the elements for almost three years. Construction should resume within the next 45 days.
WICKER PARK/BUCKTOWN—In a two-part series, Curbed traveled along Milwaukee Ave in Wicker Park and Bucktown, reporting on new residential, commercial and dining developments in the two 'hoods.
LAKE BLUFF—One of the Chicago area's most impressive modernist single-family homes hit the market recently. The 7,550-square-foot, Keck & Keck-designed home sits on 27 acres of lakefront property. Oh, and by the way: NO TRESPASSING.
NORTH CENTER—And Curbed's home of the week: A former storefront at Barry and Leavitt that has been converted to a stunning (and highly livable) 2,140-square-foot home. Click through for photos.
